“Beyond Arm’s Reach: Revisiting 3D Interaction Techniques for Virtual Display Management in Immersive Workspaces”
Dongyun Han, Donghoon Kim, Garrett Woodhouse, and Isaac Cho

This paper investigates how different 3D interaction techniques influence user performance and spatial use when managing virtual displays in immersive workspaces. Through a user study comparing Simple Hand, Ray Casting, and Arm Extension, we examine how interaction techniques can help users make more effective use of the extended 3D space available in immersive environments.

Our findings provide insights into the design of interaction techniques for virtual display management and immersive analytics.

Served on the International Program Committee (IPC) for IEEE PacificVis and AIxVR

We are pleased to announce that our paper, “Beyond Arm’s Reach: Revisiting 3D Interaction Techniques for Virtual Display Management in Immersive Workspaces,” has been accepted for publication in IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics (TVCG).
